Anti-Greed

I am appalled and frightened at how prevalent greed is in our American society today and how so many politicians and business executives are abusing their powers for self gain. It's especially frightening because I feel so powerless to do anything about it. Today Air 1 had this quote for its verse of the day and it's so true. It's the anti-greed, if we could just get everyone to believe it and do it.

A Double Whammy on the First Amendment

During an email discussion about people taking down posters advertising events that the people objected to, one discussion participant closed his email with these two quotes:

Voltaire: “I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend, to the death, your right to say it.”

Hubert Humphrey: “The right to be heard does not automatically include the right to be taken seriously.”

What have Americans to be thankful for?
