Sing for Joy!

Shout to the LORD, all the earth; break out in praise and sing for joy!

Psalm 98:4 (NLT)

May I Never Forget

Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.

Psalm 103:2-3 (NLT)

Trust and Praise

Promises made

I praise God for what he has promised; yes, I praise the LORD for what he has promised.

Joy!

.. I sing for joy because of what you have done.

Psalm 92:4, NLT
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This makes me think of my dear friend Joy Z. We were in the church choir in Dallas since it started in 1984. We were book partners from the day our director asked us to start sharing music. I always looked forward to time with the choir, whether it was practice or mass or one of our great parties or outing. And one of the reasons I cherish my time with the choir is because of Joy. She always brought joy wherever she went. It was the perfect name for her. I love you, Joy; I miss you, Joy; I thank God for you, Joy!
So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can.
Ecclesiastes 3:12, NLT |
Appreciating Diversity and Talent
God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.
1 Peter 4:10, NLT
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are each crated uniquely and should appreciate each other for those gifts! And of course, use our gifts to serve one another and not ourselves. A tall order!

God's workmanship is marvelous

Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous-how well I know it.

Psalm 139:14, NLT

I do marvel at the detail that God put into every living creature. It's amazing and wondrous. Praise God!

Pondering

How amazing are the deeds of the Lord! All who delight in him should ponder them.

Psalm 111:2, NLT
(from Air1 Verse of the Day)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I need to do more pondering in my life. I used to be better at that. Time to go back to my old ways and then get even better.
Valentine's Day Love at Work
True love exists in business. It's when employee and employer are amazingly grateful to have each other. We should all have true love at work.
~Simon Sinek
 This was Beth E.'s "notes to inspire" email for the day on Valentine's Day. She sent it to the "Dream Team" because we do have true love at work.
Peace and Joy
Today (Sunday, April 7), the Air1 verse of the day was:
And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
~~ Colossians 3:15, NLT
And on St. Patrick's Day (the 5th Sunday in Lent), the responsorial Psalm was:
The Lord has done great things for us; we are filled with joy.
~~ Psalm 126:3
I am feeling the peace and the joy! God is good!!
And that always makes me think of my dear friend and book partner for over 20 years, Joy. Now there's someone who brings me great joy! I <3 br="" joy="" u="">
Thank you, Mother and Daddy!
"Travel is the death of prejudice."
~Samuel Clemens
~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~
I'm pretty sure that wasn't the main motivation, but my parents felt like travel was one of the most important things we could do as a family and they instilled a love of travel in both my sister and me. We've both been to all 50 states (several times for most of them). Together we've been to six European countries and on other journeys, we've both been to others (she more than I, but I'll catch up some day). Our parents have been to even more than that and just returned from a 32-day cruise down the Asian coast. There's so much to learn when you travel, but obviously, there's so much more to gain.
My Sentiments Exactly!
You thrill me, Lord, with all you have done for me! I sing for joy because of what you have done.
~ Psalm 92:4, NLT
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's true! It's true!! God has done sooooo much for me. His love and generosity are amazing. I try to remember to be appreciative, I try to notice even the small details of his generosity, but I forget and I don't notice. I can't be grateful enough. And as far as the singing goes . . . well, I can't do enough of that, either. ;-) And what better kind of singing is there than singing for joy? Wow. Every word of this Bible verse is just for me. Praise God!!
